the riots are come to town

Goa, the land of peace of tranquility, sand and sun, plants and vegetations, temples and churches.... blah blah blah. It sure creates the picture of heaven in mind. And isnt it a fact that Goa is much more peaceful and safer than any other part of India? We got cultural and racial harmony and we dont really seem to have the inclination towards violence. So, basically its just great out here, especially if you are a Goan. Being Goan gives you the privilege of not getting stopped by policemen for petty traffic violations. Being Goan gives you the privilege of banging your vehicle into that of a non Goans and still being right. Being Goan also gives you the privilege of 'demanding' better treatment by other fellow Goans. There are many other privileges which Goans will get in their state. I have not utilised my entire quota of privileges yet hence i dont know.

As i was going through my regular Marathi newspaper at home (its really sick to read Konkani) i was surprised upon reading about the attack on some temple in Savordem by anti social elements. And even more surprised when i read about the violence which followed. I really dint know these people were such hardcore devotees of 'Shiva' that they went all this mad with rage. I would really be intrested in knowing how many of these protestors had so much of love for Lord Shiva that they thought they would sacrifice some vehicles for his sake. It was a MahaYagnya on the roads.. scooters were thrown. Was this an act to pacity Lord Shiva so that he doesnt open his third eye? Did all these acts avoid the destruction? It dint seem so much that the 'susegado Goenkar' would actually rise to avoid the downfall of himself and his fellow men. So how do we justify this act? No doubt that destructing the idols of Lord Shiva might have caused a lot of sentimental hurt to all Hindus. But should we really fight this problem in an Anti Hindu way? The whole point in protecting the image of the Hindu Gods is lost out. We dont want to follow what God actually wants us to do.. probably that is more disrespectful than somebody damaging a few stone idols.

My appeal to all my Goan brothers, irrespective of caste, religion and state of origin. DO NOT GET EXCITED BY ALL SUCH HAPPENINGS. PLEASE DO NOT PROTECT 'YOUR' GODS IN A MANNER THE DEVIL PRESCRIBES!!

stray thoughts

A long duration of time since I thought of writing something. And this thought was triggered by a good friend of mine who longed to see the absurdity of the human mind when crossed with technology. What I write is more of a representation of myself as a human being, absolutely no planning. Just do (or say) what the mind feels for the moment. Disorganized yet interesting. What bloggers usually write or expect to find in anothers page is the details of their experiences… be it movies, be it travel, be it cricket. However I watch movies only after reading reviews from other bloggers or the critics on the good old newspaper. So by the time I,ve seen the movie, its already become old and hence does not even attract anybody to read ‘just another review’ about that movie. As for traveling, I do not travel much.. I hate traveling especially because I cant get adjusted to the food outside. The last time I had been to Mumbai, I was down with Jaundice and suffered nearly four months. I had to overcome all temptations of eating all that I love to eat the most. Lastly about cricket.. I am so disgusted with the whole cricket scenario that a mere stray thought gets me furious. There’s no point in blaming the team, coach or the cricket committee. We need to blame ourselves for having faith in this useless fools. We are the people who have hyped these worthless losers. Hehe.. this is what I meant by a stray thought getting me furious.
In a way, I am far behind in discovering the world of blogging. I guess I don’t really follow the norms (if any) and I also know that it pisses off people when someone talks of oneself all time. I this I that I this I that!!! I’ll think of something more informative next time..

the heat is on

Damn.. its those cosmic rays!! The gods are frying us. The funniest part is that global warming is caused due to greenhouse effect which is caused due to depletion of the ozone layer which in turn happens because the Chloro Fluoro Carbon (CFC) given out by Air Conditioners, which is strange because if we dint have the Air Conditioners, we wouldnt need them in the first place! Now iam confusing myself.

new blogger

Hey... Iam a total freshman here. I don't know whats blogging. In fact all this while i used to think blog its a medical term, something like a blood clot. In fact i was so ignorant about this that i could have written an anti tobacco message saying " SMOKING CAUSES BLOOD BLOGS IN YOUR HEART". However, as i went through several profiles on Orkut, i noticed that most people had their URL mentioned on their profiles and i was feeling left behind coz i dint have one. A person who would shell out 24 grand to buy a N73 just to prove his urban nature would certainly have his blog stuff on the net as well. The best part is its free. I know whoever is reading this already knows that Iam the wrong person doing the wrong thing. I'll really consider something more my type like playing the Harmonium or the Tabla or singing Quawwali.
Duh.. i already feel so stupid for writing all that.
